Girls Are Like Apple Trees....

Love this! So many times virtuous young ladies look around wondering what in the world is wrong with them. Why isn't there a young man interested in them? There is absolutely nothing wrong with them, they are lovely and beautiful to behold! Their ideals just scare men off, until a true man of valor comes along.

Mother's, encourage your daughters to keep waiting! It is so worth it.

As someone who made mistakes in my youth (partially due to things that happened to me when I was a child)...I find it ABSOLUTELY OFFENSIVE that you would post something referring to people like me as "rotten apples". You have no right to judge someone elses motivation in such a harsh way. Many of the young ladies that seem "easy" are such b/c of a lack of either good role models or circumstances beyond their control.

I agree that it is important to teach our daughters to strive to stay pure and unblemished. But what a horrible lesson to teach about the value of other women. I know that this was intended to build up young women to wait on their husbands. But a simple wording change would make it to where it didn't also tear down other women.

And, by the way, the "rotten apples" also feel something is wrong with them. I went through my youth thinking the only thing I was good for was sex. And thank God that He saw through that lie from Satan and brought be back to Him...and to an amazing man who did wait on me! God redeems these "rotten apples" and it is suggestions as such that causes many women who make poor choices to turn away from God forever.

LOVE this! I am going to post this on my blog, if that's ok! Are you the creator of this? If not, do you know who is?

Bri,

I'm so terribly sorry that this caused offense to you. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that God redeems the "rotten apples" and can make them pure and whole. I put this up simply to encourage young ladies to wait and be patient, I was not intending to cast judgement on any woman who has made mistakes in the past. :( I didn't write this, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was encouraging for all those ladies who are waiting for husbands to stay true to their convictions!

Again I do apologize that it offended you. That was not my intent, and never even entered my thoughts. :(

Laurel,

I will update with credit to Pinterest. I tried to find the original source but the link didn't look very good. If you click through the link I leave you will see what I mean.

This was passed onto me by a friend today. So nice to have that picture and a good explanation of why it's worth the wait to be picked

I dont think the comment is offensive. Good women make mistake and work hard to correct them. Humans make mistake. But there are women that will never correct their mistakes stead they become worse every day. And I dont think looking at those women as victims.
