She Wears Skirts-A week in skirts and a link up!

I really hope that this series has been a blessing for someone. It's time to wrap it up, and I hope you all have been snapping some pictures and you can join in the linky!

I will admit that I only took two recent pictures! The rest are some that I choose from different seasons of life. You will notice that all of the skirts I'm wearing I sewed myself. I *do* have a few skirts that I have bought, but since I sew it is a lot easier just to make them myself. I also recently cut my hair - 11 inches of it! I donated it to locks of love, and I don't regret doing it at all! It's nice to have a change as most of my life I've had really long hair.

Making cookies with my girls. :) Long ruffle skirt with a zip up top from Kohls.

At a church camp with my good friend. I'm wearing a homemade long jumper.

This was taken yesterday! I'm wearing a ruffle skirt with a blouse from Marshalls. I went to a homeschool used book sale last night, which is why I had a white shirt on. I don't normally wear this shirt for everyday at home. :)

Ruched skirt from The Modest Mom, the top is from a local consignment store.

I had to throw a pregnant picture in here! My husband took this picture of me and he loves this picture. :) I'm wearing a ruffle maternity skirt and a maternity sweater.

Homemade skirt, everyday outfit.

My sister (on the right) and I in matching women's ruffle skirts (notice a theme here?!). Yes, I love wearing the ruffle skirts!

Now it is your turn! I would love to see any pictures you have taken recently, or just grab some older pictures and post those! The linky will be open for an entire week, so you have time to link up if you don't have a blog post together yet!

And after you link up, make sure you go look at Amy's pictures from Raising Arrows. She also is hosting a skirt giveaway compliments of The Modest Mom and New Creation Apparel! Make sure you enter to win a women's skirt!! There is also a coupon code available on her site to use at The Modest Mom. :)

Also, you won't want to miss the blog post tomorrow. There will be an exciting announcement!!

**Vision Forum just announced FREE SHIPPING on their facebook page! Use coupon code FACEBOOK to receive free shipping at checkout through June 10! Great idea!! Such a fun way to give 'real life' examples of wearing skirts. :) I'm not sure if I can come up with any pictures of myself to do a post (I'm always the one behind the camera!)but if so I will definitely be back to link up.

I'm so sad to see all this loveliness ending! I have worn skirt my entire life and I have been so encouraged by this series. You are such a sweet, godly example, and I just wanted to let you know that you and your blog have blessed me so much. I use to be somewhat holier-than-thou in my dress, but this series has helped me to realize that modesty starts with the heart! :)May God bless you and thank you again!

Thank you (and Amy) so much for doing this. I haven't had the chance to read every post, but I will try over time to get it all in. One thing I have definitely learned is that there are more and more women choosing to dress modestly than we take notice of.

I also posted on modesty and wearing skirts a couple of months ago. http://raisingmightyarrows.blogspot.com/2011/04/musings-on-modesty-part-2.html

Blessings,

Heather

Thank you for sharing this! I've been following Amy and Caroline's skirt series and it's been such an eye opener to me! I like the baby wearing ones also! Love the moby wrap! It's my favorite! :)

Hi Caroline,

I really thought I left a comment. I just loved being apart of this meme and to see what other gals did with their wardrobe was fun to see. I do hope to do a Pt. 2 in a few days and I will let you know when I do it if you want. [o=

Blessigns!

The ruched skirt is so cute! And I love the white top, but absolutely understand why you choose to wear that only when you are going out minus children! Hope you found some great homeschooling deals!

And thank you so much for everything you have done for me and for the She Wears Skirts series, Caroline! What a blessing your friendship has been!

Hi Caroline,
I'm finally coming over from Amy's blog. I have been wearing skirts or dresses exclusively for probably about 12 years now, and love it. God changed my heart through His Word, people, and books. It took a little while to change over, and find my style. My 22-year-old daughter also wears skirts and her style is much different than mine, partly due to body type, and also age, but I will have to post photos soon.

I'm so glad that you are doing this series, and you have effectively found your style--you look very cute and comfortable. (You also remind me so much of a young woman I know!)

I look forward to "catching up" on all the posts.
Blessings,
Wendy
