Giveaway: Health for Godly Generations Book

I'm always interested in reading a new book written on health from a Christian Perspective. While I love the topic of herbs and eating healthy, frankly I get tired of reading health books written from a New Age perspective. It is always refreshing to find a Christian Author who is well studied up on the topic of health! I especially appreciate Christian Authors who are balanced in their approach of natural medicine and the important role that Doctors still have also.

Renee DeGroot is a Homeschool graduate who has experienced first hand the horrible realities of sickness, as her own father died of liver cancer. She is passionate about what she writes about - the importance of eating healthy foods given to us by God. I really enjoyed reading through this book, and it motivated me to try even harder to give my family healthy food.

Here is some information taken from her website about the book:

Health for Godly Generations: A Reformational Perspective is based on the premise that the Bible is sufficient for instructing all of life. The text begins by gleaning Scriptural wisdom on the purpose of creation, the duty of Christians, and the rewards of generational faithfulness. The past bears witness to the value of these truths. Modern Western society has largely neglected their significance.

Health for Godly Generations: A Reformational Perspective spends the latter half of the text synthesizing current and traditional views of food and nutrition. The advantages of purity and wholesomeness of diet are explained. Unlike numerous respected books that focus on discussing nutrition and intersperse it with social commentary, this book emphasizes God’s Word, His works, and the future of Christian families. This forms a theological backdrop for addressing specific details. Broad concepts are taken into account and distilled into recommendations for tangible change.

This book discusses why and how both Scripture and history give insight regarding the biology, economy, and gastronomy of healthy food. Why not take a journey into a realm ripe for exploration? Creation’s bounty and culinary treasure, and their meaning for Christian obedience, are well-worth discovering.

I think this book would be an excellent addition to a collection of books on health. You can purchase it at Health For Generations for just $13.86

Hi,
I would love to win this book. I just purchased bracelets from It's a Blessing...via A Wise Women Builds her Home and regret I have hit my budget this week...I was so HAPPY to see this offered as a give away. I found your site today by accident. So far I know Renee was home schooled and has a Certificate in Christian Education from Whitefield College. It's funny because I just asked a friend to find scriptures to help me with my food allergies. I am hojping this book will help me to use His power to control my addictions and food allergies.
Kisses and Hugs,
